3 passes to our shows.

Please volunteer to be Poster Distribution Chairperson for your community. Or another vital volunteer positions, such as:

• Party Planner or T-Shirt Captain
• Set Crew Member or Dance Rehearsal Captain
• Costume Coordinator
• Stage Manager or Board Member
• House Manager or Usher Coordinator
• Pull a few weeds or help Roger do the planting in the Memorial Gardens. 
• Ask the business people you know to put an ad in our program (especially in Belmond).
• Playing Piano

 

Your willingness to try your hand at a volunteer position with IRP will make a huge difference in the life of our Community Theater. St. Patrick's Day Parade & Irish Stew Lunch and Bake Sale

@ 11:00-12:30.

• Date: Saturday, March 21
• Lunch and Bake Sale at the church starting at 11:00
• Parade starts at the theater at 1:00 

 

For Your Information:

I am very excited about the Parade and hope that we will have volunteers to wear special costumes and show the world how much excitement lives at our theater! I have candies for volunteers to throw and hot chocolate to sip together after the parade. Please reply if you are able to be in the parade, then I can be sure to have enough costumes that are suitable.

 

The annual parade helps raise funds for community improvement at IRP and other Rowan groups.

 

Auditions for Robin Hood and the Babes in the Woods

• Dates: Friday May 8th at 6:30 pm & Saturday May 9th at 11:30 am
• Or by appointment  Call 319-231-7828.
• Place: At the Theater

 

For Your Information:

• Performances are on July 17, 18, 19 & 24, 25, 26
• Large Cast & Production Crew will be needed. There are Principal Parts and Supporting Parts
• Everyone is welcome to audition, Girls & Boys, Men & Women
• Volunteers are needed for Stage Manager, Sets, Props, Costumes, Dance Captain, Publicity Chairperson, Local Parades Chairperson
• This show will include Music & Special Effects in the style of "Cinderella" and "Treasure Island"

 

 

 

Rowan Fun Day (“RFD”)

• Date: Saturday, June 6

• Place: at the Theater

• Dramapalooza Play Performance onstage with Audience.
• IRP hosts a Face Painting Booth at RFD Volunteers needed.
• Rowan Fun Day helps IRP to earn approximately $1,000 annually.

• Time: 5:30 or by appointment
• Place: At the Theater

• Cast is made up of 4 Men & 4 Women or High School Age
• Fairly Complicated Set

Iowa River Players Community Theater Sponsorship Opportunities

Iowa River Players is a community theater in the heart of Iowa. We are empowered to stage quality plays with affordable ticket prices through the aid of donations, ticket sales and a whole bunch of dedicated volunteers. As you probably know, no theater can be successful without some “Angels.” We invite you to be a grand part of Iowa River Players 20th Season by sponsoring one or more of our productions. We are a 501(c) organization with a mission: to delight our hometown audience with wonderful theater. We consistently work to improve our beautiful facility in Rowan, IA.

Doc Kollasch Memorial Fund

Dr. Albert Kollasch is fondly remembered by many in our theater company for his singing role as "The Felon, Robin Steel" in our original production of Lily, The Felon's Daughter. To the end of his life, he remained a foster father to the young lady who played his daughter and a firm believer in the power and value of community theatre. An endowment fund has been established in his memory. We would be most honored if you would consider helping us build on his legacy by contributing to this fund.

Many of the 190 seats in the Iowa River Players House are designated to honor friends and relatives of our Patrons and Members. For a donation of $100, you may choose a seat that will display a plaque naming your choice of honoree. Your donation supports the theater arts in rural Iowa.
